After a bright and early start we started strong with a score of 7-7 after the first quarter.
Unfortunately, Wokinghams’ advantage of experience allowed them to start to creep ahead in the second quarter and create a lead of 9 goals going into the half-time break.
Despite being behind, we mixed up our positions, kept our heads up and won the third quarter.
Tiredness was setting in during the last quarter and we began to fall behind again. We couldn’t quite catch up before the final whistle blew, but managed to get half points with a score of 38-23.
Well done to everyone who played, with a bit more experience of playing as a team together, we can continue to improve and hopefully beat them next time.
