The Wasp's had a tough opening match in very windy and wet conditions.
The match started pretty level with both teams finding their feet and the score being level at the end of the 1st quarter at 2 all. Unfortunately as the wind picked up, so did the opposition and a flurry of quick goals from them, let Windsor pulled away to a 3 goal lead at half-time.
All the wasp's kept their heads up and working hard but the continuous pressure from Windsor just seemed to grow over the next 2 quarters with the final score not accurately displaying all the players hard work and attempts on goal there was.
A really good effort from all players tonight in tough conditions and so proud of how you all worked.
Player of the match (as voted by the opposition)
Jessie Widdows
Your next match is on Sunday 29th in the Nonsuch league and Monday 7th October in the Charters League.
